Hi Kirsten,

Thanks for your request. I just wanted to send you a quick note to let
you know that your request reached the right place and is in the queue
for pending install requests for the 37-312 cluster. You can check up
on your request at:

     https://casetracker.mit.edu/caset/findcasecust.do?case_id=502538

(you'll need web certificates for the above.)

Before we can tell whether we can centrally install TrueBasic on these
machines, I'll need to ask a couple of quick follow-up questions, just
so we're clear on your requirements.

1. If this is commercial software, we'll need to know if MIT or your
department has a volume- or site-license for it, or if this is a single
copy Prof. Paul purchased for your use. ("I'm not sure" is a fine
answer here; we can check into it as well.)

2. How long will you be using the software for? Are you looking for it
to be installed for the entire semester? For a single session?

3. Is it possible for us to borrow the CD to find out how the software
installs? The machines in 37-312 are centrally managed and install most
of their software through Microsoft's MSI technology. How easy it is to
add a new application often depends on the particular piece of
software.

Thanks!

Oliver Thomas
