Windows Services Delivery

Date: June 19 2003
Place: W20 PDR3
Time: 1pm

Agenda:

1. Sponsor introduction (Phil/Theresa)
2. Charter (Brian)
3. Team Membership (All)
4. Short-term issues

         A. We received the following request for a Matlab GIS toolbox to
be installed on the 37-312 machines. This would incur a per-machine cost
of $24 or $648 total. The dollar amount is relatively insignificant. If
this had come to us for Unix Athena, I would take it to Owls, so this may
be a to-do for the Owls-like body for Windows you're thinking about. In the
meantime, I'd like your input on whether to hold off or purchase this
toolbox for the 27 machines.

         B. Keyserver services sought by Architecture and DUSP (they
currently keyserve their software within their department subnet. As
they try to consolidate services across the department they wish to make it
easier for their students to move back and forth across their departmental
systems.

         C. MSI coordination (should be obvious)

         D. Other Issues

5. Long-term Issues/Strategies
6. Next Steps/Meeting Schedule
