Once I have made my own build of a properly synchronizedworking copy I
can then finally commit my changes into the mainline,which then updates
the repository. This led to two major efforts. However my commit doesn't
finish my work.<br>
In my original book on refactoring I picked out databases as a
majorproblem area in refactoring since refactoring databases introduces
anew set of problems.<br>
If the secondary build detects a bug, that's a sign thatthe commit build
could do with another test.<br>
The biggest challengein this is that messages are by their nature
asynchronous, and thereare significant differences in the design
approaches that you use inan asynchronous world. I alsosorted out the
chapter list on the right so that it's in the orderit would be in for a
book.<br>
I think the new version gives a clearerdescription of CI, including a
clear list of whatpractices I see as part of continuous integration.
