Hi all,
I have recently become aware of a researcher here that still uses his
old NeXTStation with NeXTStep 3.3 for stuff.
I am quite confident there used to be an AFS client for this. However,
at the time we started using AFS, 3.6 was current and I only got the
HP-UX 10.20 and IRIX 6.2 kits from the 3.4a repository when support
accounts could still download stuff directly from AFS.
Transarc says it's not available. The response didn't make it very
clear whether the files had magically disappeared or whether they just
don't want to give it out. They suggested OpenAFS, which of course is
a bad joke since OpenAFS supports the same platforms that AFS 3.6 did
(and some newer).
Anybody got any ideas?
