Smells like disk corruption to me. Have you rebooted and vfscked the weenies
outta your vice partitions, then forced a full salvage?
If the disk has eaten the volume(s) you may be stuck recovering from your last
backup.
I have never, ever seen anything useful in the VolSerLog. What's the FileLog tell you?
