I've been running one AFS server in test mode. Recently, I moved the server
to our machine room where the operators could do the daily dumps. They stay
logged in at the console all the time with two windows open, one with butc
and the other with a "backup shell". They reauthenticate (klog) each day
before executing the dump command. Everything worked fine until a few days
ago when they started getting the following butc error for each volume it
tried to dump:

Could not fetch the entry for volume 536870975 from VLDB
rxk: authentication expired

This occurred even though we just run klog and got a fresh token. So I
logged out and back in and the problem disappeared. Has anyone seen this
problem before? I've asked the operators to log out each day now and we'll
see if that solves the problem for good. (I'm running 3.1a on a Sun server.)
