The binder on 2007 uses the shmat() system call to map it's input and
output files into it's address space. The shmat() system call is not
supported in AFS with AFS 3.1b, so you can't link files in AFS. There's
a pretty simple work-around though -- use the binder that came with
3.1.5. You can either save the old binder (/usr/lib/bind) before
applying the updates, and then overwrite the 2007 binder with the
saved one...or you can save the old binder, and install it elsewhere on
the updated system. If you take the latter approach, you can cause the
old binder to be used with a command line flag. Assume you have installed
the old binder as /usr/lib/bind315. The following flag added to your
LDFLAGS will do the trick: "-bbinder:/usr/lib/bind315".
