Retrieving a RW volume from an RO

It's possible to remove a RW volume, leaving it's RO version available.
Since RW and RO volumes on the same partition occupy insignificant extra
space, there's no point in doing so intentionally.

BUT if I delete the RW version by mistake, there's no obvious way to
restore the RW from the RO. vos addsite /vos release will only replicate
RW->RO, not RO->RW (according to the manual, anyway).

OK, I can restore from my last tape backup, but given that (possibly a
more recent version of) the volume is already spinning round on the
disk, this seems unnecessary.

Any ideas? BTW I ask out of curiosity, not necessity. Yet.
