Folks...
I have one addition and one departure to announce for GCO's usr/contrib.
First the good news. Through the good offices of John Gardiner Myers at
CMU, there is now a version of ksrvutil that works with the Transarc
kaserver. It may be found in the following location:
/afs/grand.central.org/darpa/usr/contrib/dist/ksrvutil/ksrvutil.shar
My thanks to John for his contribution.
Now for the bad news. GCO has been proud to be a host site for on-line
access to various materials from the ITU in usr/contrib/misc/itu.
Unfortunately, word has been communicated to all on-line sites for these
materials that they are being ``withdrawn'' from this form of
distribution/access. As I understand it, the ITU is planning to set up
a more restrictive method of access, open only to certain member
organizations. Sadly, in order to comply with their wishes, I will
remove these files from GCO on 31 December 1991. I applaud the ITU for
having experimented with Internet-wide exposure for their materials, and
can only hope that someday they will decide to resume this method of
access.
