Whether to set up servers as clients also

What are the opinions of others as far as whether or not to have your
servers act as clients also? Our site currently has 6 Sparc's acting
as servers, none of them are clients. We've been running this way for,
I think, at least two years with no problems. Is there really that much
of a benefit to running client software on the servers? How about just
running it on the system control machine? We would not let users log
onto the servers, by the way.
