Sure.  Here's the scoop:  the whole reason why you want to have several
mail queues, on several servers, is so that you can still drop off mail
when one or two servers are down.  Now, if you didn't replicate the
parent directory (/afs/cellname/service/mailqs) -- then you'd still be
vulnerable to this kind of outage if the file server on which THAT
directory lives happens to go down.  In that situation, you could have
dozens of available mail queues, but no way to get to them because their
parent directory is down!  -- Nathaniel
