AFS/AIX/C-ISAM questions

I have AFS 3.1 installed on a couple of AIX 3.1.6 RS6000 machines
that some developers are testing AFS and C-ISAM interoperability
on. We seem to be having some difficulty in trapping some of
the error messages that are generated when writes fail to complete.
I was wondering if anyone else has a similar environment and what
their experiances with these products are and how they interact. I
am hoping that this info wil save me some time (and headaches).
