Joe, the point I was trying to make is that judging from the messages we
are continually seeing coming across info-afs, it appears that NON-info-afs
subscribers are sending mail to info-afs that should go to afs-sales. All
of us *here* know what info-afs is, but if I were a non AFS customer who
wanted some info about the product and I somehow ran across the mail address
"info-afs@transarc.com" I could easily suppose that info-afs was for getting
info about AFS.

My suggestion is to acknowledge that problem, alias info-afs to afs-sales,
and change the mailing list name to something a bit less mistakeable.
