Our software Environment Maintenance Tool (EMT 3.3.0) is now available
as a beta release.

The sources are available via anonymous ftp to export.acs.cmu.edu
(128.2.35.66) in /pub/emt. There is also a copy of the current beta
version of our installation guides available in postscript form.

In order to use EMT, you must have an ADM server up and running and have
a working version of "depot" and "site." The sources for these
applications are available from the same ftp site in /pub/adm,
/pub/depot, and /pub/tools (respectively).

There is pre-release quality documentation regarding installation and
use of EMT, contained in the docs subdirectory of the available sources.
The man pages included with the sources provide rougher, but more
current information regarding EMT. Many of the fields that were once
described in the rxemt.xg file are now found in the emtd.config file.
Please look over both of these documents before installing EMT.

Any questions regarding EMT or ADM can be directed to info-adm@andrew.cmu.edu.
