Prestoserve is a hardware cache for NFS for DEC mips machines. We
have one in our DS5500. I'm not sure what other hardware platforms
support it. Anyway, recently, I set up the machine running
Prestoserve as an AFS server, not even considering that there would be
a problem.
Well, over the weekend, we hard a few problems. A colleague found the
problems:
>> ...but sometime between last night and today, several things (like NFS
>> service) ground to a halt, but other things (mail, logins) were

We have a DECstation 5500 with Prestoserve, running Ultrix 4.1.
Has anybody seen problems like this before? Has anybody ever tried
running AFS on a machine with Prestoserve before?
