Hi,

Here at Transarc we're discussing ways to get a lot more information out
about AFS. One possibility is technical papers written by AFS users and,
possibily, presented at conferences. These papers could cover a number
of areas:administering with AFS, moving from NFS to AFS, performance
statistics, to name a few.

We hope some of our users might consider writing a paper. Transarc is
willing to cooperate as much as possible with technical assistance and
editorial review. An immediate possibility is the UniForum conference
scheduled for Jan. 20-24, 1991 in San Francisco. Deadline for submission
of 400 word abstracts is June 1. I would expect the January USENIX Call
for Papers to be arriving shortly.

So, give it some thought. Feel free to give me a call if you need more
information, or want to discuss a specific idea. We're wide open for
suggestions.
