I'd sooner see (spend time on?) nsswitch for more platforms; It may be easier
when glibc 2.0 is released, plus Paul Vixie's IRS stuff with Bind does
basically the same thing, so perhaps in the near future it will only be
necessary to hack apps on systems with no dynamic linker.
