Hesiod 2.0.0 has been released. It's available via anonymous FTP at
athena-dist.mit.edu:pub/ATHENA/hesiod/hesiod-2.0.0.tar.gz.
This release uses Autoconf and should compile out of the box on most
modern systems; however, it does assume a vaguely ANSI compiler. gcc
will do, of course.
The suite of examples and documentation from the Hesiod 1.3 release is
not in the 2.0 release. Most of the relevant information is in the
man page and the new README file, and I hope the lower volume of
information will make it easier for people to get started rather than
harder. Feedback is appreciated.
