Project Name: HR-Payroll Project
Project Leader: Dan Fitzgerald
Report Date: Sept 30, 2002
URL: http://web.mit.edu/is/delivery/hrpayroll/
Accomplishments in Sept
- Tuition Assistance business owners reviewed development to-date. Detail
planning with business owners occurring for Nov rollout for SAP GUI and
subsequent ESS rollout for January.
- A combined communications calendar for HR and HR-Pay developed. This is
expected to be both a resource planning tool plus a coordination vehicle
for the various activities.
- Successful test in staging system for BSI's Tax Factory which is a
payroll tax software. Request for migration to SF/8 has been made.
- Contact database maintained in HR is being evaluated as a Roles function.
These departmental contacts are categorized by function, for example 'HR
Letters for SRS Staff'.
Goals for Oct
- Resolve primary business owner for Pension Payroll as well as finalize
interfaces with outside vendors.
Next Community Milestone
- Tuition Assistance ESS scheduled for January.
Issues
- Determination of Lincoln Lab - campus integration. Impacts scope,
timeline, project structure, HR structure and project resources.
- Pension Payroll and HR go-lives in early 2003 will impact our SAP
environment in terms of pre-production environments, size of SAP instances,
management of support packs, and other areas. Important that we get ahead
of this change.
