Accomplishments Past Period:

* Continued daily maintenance and operation of NetBackup on the E40 systems.
* Aggressively tracked netbackup issues - daily update of the netbackup
issue list.
* Worked with Asst, HP and Veritas to resolve the open issues with the OS
and the E40 SAN.
* Worked with the Veritas Support to resolve the open issues with the
Netbackup
shared storage option.
* E40 backup success was 87% for August (up from 74% in July and 67% in June).
* Significantly increased Backup/Restore performance by adding backup buffers.
* Switched back to the full backup scheme where all E40 SAP servers are
backed-up every
night. (Since February, we were only backing up half of the servers
every night).
* Worked on restore test plan
- Completed alternate server restore procedure
- Completed manual OS restore procedure
Goals for the Coming Periods:

* Continue the work with Asst, HP and Veritas to resolve the open issues
with the OS and the E40 SAN.
* Continue the work with the Veritas Support to resolve the open issues
with the Netbackup shared storage option.
* Document restore test plan including various restore scenarios and
detailed procedures.
- Complete bare-metal restore procedure documentation
* Complete the W91 roll out plan.
* Get buy-in from key stakeholders (ASST, R3-Admin, DOST) on the E40
implementation.
* Start the W91 implementation
* Update project documentation and web pages.
