Accomplishments during May 2002:
- FGDC Records created and loaded into SDE locker
- SDE locker enabled for Web use.
- Developed ArcView user interface prototype.
- Researched possibilities of using XML records.
- Created naming structure for data loaded onto SDE.
- Interviewed and hired summer intern.
- Arranged funding for summer intern.
Goals for June:
- Train summer intern.
- Start loading data.
- Figure out the missing layer problem.
- MARC records will start to be created.
- Database tools will be researched in order to determine, what might be
the best way to draw information from Metadata files into SDE interface
that Daniel is creating.
- All HTML FGDC records will also be created in XML; these XML records will
be loaded into SDE.
- Continue to create .html metadata records for the files that will be
loaded onto to SDE.
Next Community Milestone:
Announce service with data loaded and backup with an Athena interface and
goals for a web interface (Late summer 2002).
