Project Name: HR-Payroll Project
Project Leader: Dan Fitzgerald
Report Date: June 1, 2002
URL: http://web.mit.edu/is/delivery/hrpayroll/

Accomplishments in May
- Testing continuing on new ESS transactions projected to go-live in July.
Associated support plans are being developed.
- Kicked off Educational Assistance implementation team. This relatively
small team will focus on installing Tuition Assistance and Children's
Scholarship Plans in next 6 months.
- Pension Payroll Business Blueprint signed off by business owners. This
was a very successful effort. Next phase will not begin until July due to
business resources not being available. Loss of some momentum but not large
issue.
- Appointments and Salary Distribution implementation team kicked off in
May. This was after business signoff of conceptual design.

Goals for June
- Review design proposal of mini-application for the production of HR
Letters with key stakeholders. This is a carryover from last month.
- Finalize ESS testing.

Next Community Milestone
- Next suite of ESS transactions referenced above, scheduled for July.

Issues
- Determination of Lincoln Lab - campus integration. Impacts scope,
timeline, project structure, HR structure and project resources.
- Pension Payroll and HR go-lives in early 2003 will impact our SAP
environment in terms of pre-production environments, size of SAP instances,
management of support packs, and other areas. Important that we get ahead
of this change.
