Accomplishments in May
- Completed an integration test cycle labeled "Week-in-the-Life-of-HR".
Included 20 HR employees over 5 days.
- Proposed authorizations for DLC's and HR users defined and being walked
around for review. Expected signoff end of May.
- Kicked off team responsible for planning and managing the employee
payroll business process redesign.
- Ran 1st leg of HR conversion to assign employees to new enterprise
structure in production. Successful.
- Tuition Assistance ESS rolled out on May 12. Big communication splash
resulted in over 200 users in 1st 11 days.
- EECS pilot of data validation completed. Many learnings from pilot.
- Pilot with 3 - 5 DLC's for capturing Research Affiliations in SAP HR
completed. Report to sponsors in June.
Goals for June
- Complete Lincoln to campus interface (carryover from May)
- Receive signoff from functional testing as part of large integration test.
- Complete Annual Salary Review development, due in November in time for
SRS review.
- Full conversion test run in integration testing environment.
- Pension Payroll configuration completed and transported to integration
test system.
Next Community Milestone
- Data validation of Cyborg data by DLC's by end of June.
- Employee Self-service applications for Emergency Contacts, Education
Attainment and EEO info scheduled for soon after HR Go-live which is August.
- DLC HR Administrators updating directly in SAP non employment data for
their staff (eg: Chair data). Estimate Dec 2003.
Issues
- Lincoln to campus interface is behind schedule by several weeks. Lots of
coordination required to get this completed. Very difficult activity.
