Project Name: Online Credit Card Processing - ClearCommerce
Submitted By: Lorraine Rappaport
Report Date: March 15, 2003
Project URL: http://web.mit.edu/is/delivery/ccard
Accomplishments Past Period:
- Athletics Day Camp and Conference Services went live.
- The Delivery work on this project is complete. Some tweaking, bug fixes,
and enhancements will continue, yet we are now in the transition phase to
full production.
- With DOST, coordinated repairs to the leased line with FDMS. The ISDN
back-up held up fine and there was no impact on service.
- Improved OMARS configuration questionnaire to a) be easier to use, and b)
generate output that can be easily cut and pasted to create the store
configuration file.
- Continued to work with Alumni on their testing of SmarTrans with
ClearCommerce
Goals for Next Period:
- A number of new merchants are in the queue, including the Deshpande
Center, Nanomanufacturing, Nuclear Engineering, the Museum, the Spring
Weekend student event, Alumni Reunions, and Center for Cancer Research.
- Determine appropriate tool for tracking new requests and problem
reporting. Casetracker can accommodate some, but not all of our
needs. Lack of access control is an issue in that there is some relatively
sensitive information we would like to maintain.
- ASST will apply OS patches and perform security checks on the
ClearCommerce server.
Next Community Milestone:
- Roll-out of the new merchants mentioned above.
