Accomplishments for January 2003
* Lisa Robinson completed a key nine-month project with the birth of
her son Benjamin. Congratulations, Lisa!
* Todd made progress in documenting the internals of the Event Calendar.
* Tom and Todd made a preliminary agreement with Suzana Lisanti to
maintain the Perl program her group is developing to maintain
spotlights on the main MIT web site.
* Tom discussed with Jim Repa the possibility of EAST assuming
responsibility for the Roles client application.
* *Corporation Database:*
o Finished additional changes and included it in the client
application.
o Pointed the updated client application to the production
database.
o Helped client to set up one new account to access the corpdb
application.
o In response to a request from the client, verified some of
the reports that are created by corpdb application.
* *Coeus:*
o Created new version of Coeus 3.8 executable for Windows and Mac.
o Built new Mac and Windows installers and released them on
the web.
o Helped Mac user who was having difficulty with new Coeus
install on Mac.
o Did some testing on Mac on uploading Word and pdf files.
o Met with client regarding uploading a file in the narrative
module on Mac.
o Visited the Learning Center to resolve View Narrative problem.
o Fixed some bugs reported by users and changed Mac version to
adjust report print layout.
o Resolved printing issues on Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X.
Goals for the Coming Period
* Complete documentation of the Events Calendar.
* Implement several bug fixes and minor enhancements to the Events
Calendar.
* Prepare the first release of the Events Calendar software to
eligible outside users.
Community Milestones
* *Met: *Placed new version of the Corporation Database application
in production.
* *Met: *Released new versions of Coeus 3.8 for both Windows and Mac.
* *Next: *Create a packaged release of the Events Calendar
application for distribution to eligible outside users and
internal MIT users.
