Amazing. Before this, I hadn't realized you could make spam out of snake-oil.

Will these slimes ever learn that "promises of security" =/= security?

And their claims! Even if their product offered real security, they should fire their marketing department for blowing this BS around.

[ that line was my personal favorite -- I'm hoping that TruthMonger sends
  them a message ]

Follow their web site around (it's quite small) and get a good laugh at some of their offerings. Tim May would probably be interested in this one:

"For the ultimate in hard drive protection, Cryptx has developed
CHDN, which will completely nuke all information on your hard
drive instantly and 100% thoroughly. If you have someone banging
down your door and need to get rid of information right now,
with the simple act of inserting the CHDN Disk and re-booting
your computer your hard drive is gone. Freedom of information
is something we all hold on to, but if you need to get rid of
the evidence quickly and completely, then you need this program.
When security counts... count on Cryptx Hard Drive Nuker."

Actually, he probably doesn't need it. He probably has C4 tucked inside the case of his machine, wired to a perimeter alarm.
