The name is Donald Zilkha, and he's an owner (along with John Rigas),
not the CEO. He has donated at least $2500 to Charles Schumer's
campaigns over the past several years, according to filings with the
FEC. The Wall Street Journal had an article concerning the troubles at
Colt's on September 29 which might be of interest.

This is true of their 1911-pattern handguns, but many people like their
AR15-style long arms. I'm not one of them, as they've been specially
modified to be non-interchangeable with standard AR15 parts kits, but
Colt AR's do have their (vocal) fans.

That Charles Schumer and most of the Democrats (indeed, most of
Congress) are anti-gun is hardly a secret.
