Colt hasn't supplied the US Armed Forces for some time with handguns.
The current issue sidearm is a Beretta.
Colt's CEO, one Donald Zakhlis, is an Iraqi citizen and buddy and
coreligionist of Chucky Schumer, NY senator and left-fascist, a traitor
who describes the US Constitution as "outmoded and obsolete." Colt is
not bankrupt now because of a rigged contract for longarms for the US
gov. Gov business makes up 80% of Colt's revenue. Among knowledgeable
Americans, Colt's has a reputation -- well earned -- for over-priced and
low-quality weapons, often described not as firearms, but as parts kits
that require hundreds of dollars of after-market work to be made to
function at a level competitive with S&W or Glock. Colt's has been
unable to maintain market share in .45ACP 1911-designs, and was
unable to win the sidearm competition for the US gov.
The intimate connection between Colt and Schumer suggests to this
cynical writer that Colt has advance information on a Clintonite
push to endrun the US constitution regarding import and mfg of
handguns.
Significant sectors of the US firearms industry are controlled by
foreign nationals. The prime suppliers of arms to our military have
been foreigners for some time: first FN, now Colt's and Beretta.
This is a situation characteristic of a third-world country.
Bill Ruger will soon be bending over the barrel, mark my words.
