Ah, but the journalist didn't hear all he said - or maybe didn't
understand it. Minister of truth and justice Frank Jensen
encouraged use of encryption, but accordlingly admitted, that
plans are under way to restrict use of strong crypto in Denmark (EU?) -
and only allow breakable crypto or crypto with backdoors. "The authorities
need to have access to the encrypted data - with court orders".
Go figure. Encryption is just his fig-leave for the moment, because he
can't admit to any knowledge of global interception of communications
without making liars of himself and the entire government.
I'm going to strip that fig-leave of him tomorrow.
I am preparing an article with more details on how the danish government
and the EU plans to restrict use of strong encryption within a very close
timeframe for my paper for tomorrow.
If its of any interest I will see if I can have it translated and post it
here?
