Hello,
You can have your student join the Center for Democracy and
Technology's Policy Post mailing list. "Policy Posts are the regular
news publication of the CDT. They are designed to deliver accurate,
up-to-date information on public policy issues affecting civil
liberties online. CDT's Policy Posts are a leading resource for
policy makers, the press, industry representatives, students, and
others interested in legal and policy issues affecting the Internet.
" She can sign up at http://www.cdt.org/publications/ .
She may also be interested in joining the CDT Activist Network. CDT
will send out alerts whenever important action is needed on an issue
at Capitol Hill. Action is usually simply a telephone call to your
Representative, although sometimes it may be a call to a Committee
Chairman or your state's Senators. More information is available at
http://www.cdt.org/join/ .
The Center for Democracy and Technology is a non-profit public
interest organization based in Washington, DC. The Center's mission
is to develop and advocate public policies that advance democratic
values and constitutional civil liberties in new computer and
communications technologies.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about the CDT. Michael
