Subject: Now it's Kentucky!
Just heard via the radio that the State of Kentucky has decided to
remove that nasty word, "evolution" from school text-books. It seems
to be too much of a "target" word for criticism from Bible-thumpers.
They want to substitute "change over time" for the no-no word.
I have a suggestion: let's remove the word, "Kentucky" from the
geography and history texts, and substitute "Oz." Besides, "Oz-Fried
Chicken" sounds -- and tastes -- just as good, I suspect.
What a farce. Do the legislators of Kentucky actually believe that
the creationists don't know that "to evolve" = "to change over time"?
Hmmm. Maybe the legislators are right. I withdraw that question.
