Beta testing of Jack B. Nymble v2.1 is complete. Version 2.1.0 is now
available. There are still several PGP 5/6 compatiblity issues which
affect a small number of users. Please check the Known Problems page
for updates.
Thanks to all of the beta-testers who provided feedback on version 2.1.
Users of JBN v1 are encouraged to upgrade at this time. It is possible
(in fact recommended) to install and configure JBN v2 while continuing
to use JBN v1 on the same system. (Having them both access PGP at the
same time may cause errors.)
The source code for JBN 2.1 (VB 5/6) is also being released under the
GNU General Public License. This means anyone is welcome to use,
modify, and compile the source code, and distribute the modified
software, providing they provide their source code and abide by other
terms of the license. Users of modified versions should use due
caution. Versions distributed by Potato Software are always signed with
PGP key 0x9310EE89.
JBN 2.1.0 is currently available from

Changes to JBN 2.1.0 from previous version 2.1.i beta
* A problem which caused encryption of attachments with long filenames
to fail with PGP 2.6.x has been corrected.
* The Chain line in the Info tab of the View Mail window now shows
which AUTO remailers were used for a given reply-block. (For this
change to take effect, users must resubmit their reply-blocks.)
* SPGP DLL 2.2.3.2 (9-27-99) is distributed with JBN 2.1.0.
FYI
Jack B. Nymble v2.1 is an automated and feature-rich freeware
Windows9x/NT anonymous email and news client. This version

Includes a secure mini-browser and finger client. Supports multiple
POP3, SMTP, and NNTP servers. The complete User's Manual is
available online for your review. Also includes a detailed
Beginner's Guide for those completely new to anonymous remailers.
