This morning on the car radio I heard a crypto-related interview on KQED-FM
"Simon Singh has written a book about the history of cryptography.
The title says it all: "The Code Book: the Evolution of
Secrecy from mary, Queen of Scots to Quantum Cryptography".
We'll find out how people in power have kept their secrets throughout
history.
Interesting talk, with perspectives on Turing, the discovery of
Diffie-Hellman and RSA by those authors and the GCHQ brits, etc.
He'll be speaking tonight in Berkeley CA at Cody's books,
and Friday night in Menlo Park at Kepler's books.
Unfortunately it's not the interview that gets replayed later tonight.
Thanks!
Bill
