Haven't you noticed messages where the person asked to be c'ed?
Those, where someone was a member and was dropping something off of
interest and access by anonymous remailer are the reasons I've always
understood.
I'm starting to suspect one of the religiously against toad.com
people of causing the mischief, though. It seems that most of the
subscriptions to other services come with that as the address.
