========== begin CONFIDENTIAL, FOR YOUR EYES ONLY text ================
Dear friends.
I forward to you this rather panicky post. I did not check if what is said is
true, but I tend to consider it as genuine since it comes from the alert line
of the Canadian Firearms Digest.
Keep an eye open and when in doubt, follow your own rational conclusion rather
than the spin doctor's.
Last spring, the police forces of QC were taking the Y2K story very seriously.
At a meeting of police forces in Montreal, some high ranking police official
said to some of my informants that they did not choose to warn the population
(last spring) because "they were not ready", i.e. the police forces not being
properly equipped to handle the population. Apparently, the date by which
they would be ready was mid-fall. This is NOW.
My informants are, very unfortunately, very credible. Y2K might be or might
not be a big thing in reality, but one thing is sure: the police forces
around the country take it seriously.
The following post is probably the result of a few thugs flexing their
governmental muscles, but keep an eye open, just in case...
Ciao
jfa

CONFISCATION IS AROUND THE CORNER!!! My name is Darryl Schemenauer. I own
a gunshop in Regina,Sask.(10.5yrs!) On sept-15'am, I was ambushed by CFC,
City police, and Feds (8 in total) while I drank my coffee. I was arrested
and spent 12hrs in jail!! The charges are in total,19 counts. 18 of which
are having extded-mags in possession and one charge for selling a firearm
without proper authorization. They have taken all my powder, primers, caps, etc
with NO explanation. They have pulled my liscence to sell firearms, ammo, and
also gunsmithing. CFC have been in my shop for over 3.5 days. Every item in
the store has been papered!(even repair guns in the back!) They have left
me in the busiest time of year with my hands tied!! It looks like I cannot
do anything until a court date is set (which looks like 1 month!!) I feel I
am the one they have picked to make an example out of. THIS IS MY
LIVLYHOOD!!
I also should mention they confsctd a few sht-brld hdguns from the store
because the barrels were too short. I haven't received any receipts for any
of the product that was taken.(powder, primers, guns) I can honestly say for
the first time I am worried!! If ANYONE can give some advise to my
problems, please do so. I will write again once I know a little more.
darryl s.
