I don't know much about the person in question, but pedophilia is one of the
examples used to justify compromised cryptography. Pedophiliac has huge
library of pictures on an encrypted disk, someone wants to prosecute, how do
they procure evidence? "It's in the public's best interests to support the
govt's standpoint on cryptography so we can make sure people like this stay
off the streets and away from your children." Perhaps this very issue came
up in a case against Mr. Burnore? Or were you referring to spam.
