I recently received some 410 pages of FOIA material in response to my
request sent to the Secret Service concerning their $1.2M contract with the
Secret Service to develop a private database of images to be used to verify
the identity of consumers who wish to cash checks or otherwise interact
with large bureacratic organizations. Image Data (and information received
by EPIC in response to their FOIA request) was recently discussed in Wired
News at <http://www.wired.com/news/news/politics/story/21607.html>; the
EPIC information is online at
<http://www.epic.org/privacy/imagedata/image_data.html> and
<http://www.epic.org/privacy/imagedata/image_data_scan.html>.

It's going to take me some time to wade through the information and find
the interesting stuff; I'm sure I won't have the patience to scan all 410
pp, nor would a document that size be easy to work with for downloading or
printing. People attending the physical SF Bay cypherpunks meeting this
weekend can get a copy for $20.00 if you email me indicating your interest
prior to 5pm tomorrow (Friday) - my cost for copies is $15.53, with the
remainder going towards the search and photocopy costs from the Secret
Service ($60 so far).
