Hey, what can I say? The DOCSIS cable modem standard specifies
56-bit CBC DES as the sole packet encryption protocol. At least
the keys are refreshed frequently, and *those* exchanges are
protected by X.509 certs, RSA, and two-key 3-DES.
So it's not as baaaaad as it could be.
