Cypherpunks runs a kind of strange multiple-server mailing list configuration
with loop prevention. If you look at the headers from your messages,
you can tell which mail servers you're receiving messages from -
it'd be interesting to know if you're getting the duplicates from
one mail server, or if there are multiple servers sending the same
message to you.

The double messages I've been seeing have been because people have
been sending messages to multiple lists (e.g. cypherpunks, cryptography,
coderpunks), or because people copy messages from one list to another
(e.g. cyberia-l or Bob Hettinga's various lists).
