It may not be much for sensitive data, but it might suffice for
privacy. That is if you are confident that no one would be
interested in your affairs. Both figurative and literal.
As far as reporters regurgitating press releases as news. Your blind
spot is that they are "Reporters", not "Investigators" or necessarily
"Journalists".
