For a different view, I recommend telnetting (with two hands) to MIT's
MediaMOO, which is set up as a virtual work environment, or logging on
to #news on irc during a crisis like the russian coup attempt or the
recent quake.
The use of interactive net services to produce erotic material no more
invalidates their use for serious pursuits than the vast amount of
pornographic material available on video invalidates videoconferencing.
