As with all matters legal, the answer is "it depends." What kind of
privacy are you inquiring about? In the workplace? On a private net?
On a government sponsored net?
Who's the potential privacy violator? A private citizen? An employer?
The FBI?
The answer will depend on the facts. The general answer at this point
for any set of facts will be, "Nobody's thought it completely through
yet."
