I am with the Canadian Government and we are embarking on an "Open
Government" pilot to get information about members of the Canadian Parliament
(MPs and Senators) up on the Internet. The information will be developed for
WWW access, but will be available through ftp and gopher too. During the run-
up we would like a little information on the US experience with getting
Clinton up on the net, etc. This will help us evaluate demand (divide US by
10 probably) and hopefully get all MPs and Senators up sooner.

I would greatly appreciate any statistical information about the American
programs, ie. how many people are accessing info about the 15 or so
Representatives on the net/ per day. How much demand for more services was
generated by the initial offering, etc. I would also welcome anecdotal
information about problems encountered with publishing contact info,
copyright problems, bruised feelings etc. (I was actually told that it could
be necessary to get individual permission from all the Senators to put up
their GIFs in the WWW server!)

Information will be summarized then reposted to this list for the benefit of
the readers.
