At the meeting that was held with the Vice President and the Sec. of
Commerce on Wednesday -- there was a great deal of interest in using
computer-mediated communications from both the industry and public
interest participants (especially from the West Coast folks).
If we're ever going to have a genuine dialogue between government, industry,
academia, and public interest groups -- we need to increase the bandwidth and
decrease the transaction costs associated with sharing ideas.
BTW, many of the members of the IITF have e-mail addresses, some of which are
listed in the September 15th "Agenda for Action."
