The electric companies have the extreme luxury of being regulated
public utilities, without burgeoning competition in a wide open,
rapidly growing, lucrative, and mostly undefined field.  At this point
in the Internet's evolution we're even seeing competition between
groups fostering cooperation.  ...Scott
