Personally, I'd call most R&D corporate connections 'institutions of
higher learning'.  I know that's how I learn everything (that and personal
accounts, which might also qualify).  Only if they specified some
accrediting org. would I know argue for inclusion.

Of course, I learned nothing in college (since I didn't go more than 3
classes)...  I now have over 12 years consulting, developing, etc.
