What will be covered at the seminar?
------------------------------------

The primary goal of this seminar is to describe the means with which you
and your business can take advantage of the Internet to increase
productivity and efficiency.

The most important commodity in any business is information; specifically,
the sharing and accessibility of that information. The importance of
the Internet is its virtually instantaneous information transfer. The
global presence of the Internet provides an unprecedented means of
telecommunication.

The Internet provides a fast, efficient means of information sharing between
your business and the world.

Our seminar will show how you can use Archie, Email, Gopher, Telnet, FTP,
Veronica, the UseNet, WAIS, World Wide Web, and countless other Internet
resources to your business' advantage.

Demonstrations: We will give live, online demonstrations of the services
mentioned above, as well as discuss the features and benefits of each one.

Internet Access: Most Internet users have access through their governmental
or educational facilities. As demand for Internet access has increased,
a number of Internet providers have been established that offer full
Internet access to business' and individuals.

The largest Internet provider in the Washington metropolitan area,
Digital Express Group, Inc. (Digex) will be represented at the seminar
to describe the various levels of connectivity services available.
In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to obtain Internet
access at special rates.

Other: Attendees will also have the opportunity to purchase Internet
related publications from O'Reilly and Associates, one of the leading
publishers of Internet related literature. Internet access software
will be available from Intercon, Inc.

Everything you need to make the Internet work for you and your business
will be available at the seminar.

What is the Internet?
---------------------

The Internet is an interconnection of local area network systems in use at
most major educational, scientific, and government institutions. In recent
years, many commercial organizations have connected to the Internet as
well. The Internet is the world's largest wide area network.

Networking provides a means of high speed data transfer between locations.
The Internet provides virtually instantaneous communication and data
transfer to its users. It offers an invaluable resource of information and
data on any topic. The Internet's information archives are freely and
easily available to anyone with access.

Your business can make use of this invaluable resource in a variety of
ways. Not only does the Internet put its worldwide users in direct
accessibility to your business, but also provides a means of high speed
telecommunication between locations.

This seminar will show how you can put the Internet to work for you and
your business, as well as provide the opportunity to obtain Internet
access, books, and software at special rates.
