Keep in mind that, for many newsgroups, this "closed system" would be
just fine. How often do you see people posting stuff to, for example,
comp.unix.wizards that's both risque' *and* appropriate to the group?
Also, the groups could have movie-style ratings in their charters;
you'd get sanctioned only if your post was inappropriate for the
particular group. It wouldn't be a morally clean system, just a
responsible one.
