I see that you never did come right out and say that you have any proof that
Doug offered Percy or ANS 25% of Digex, only that you were on a conference
call with him and that he said that he was trying to get a T-1 for free for a
year. Guaranteed CIX connectivity (which is what you do claim was discussed
on that call) is an entire different ball of wax from the allegation that
Doug offered someone at ANS or ANS itself 25% of his company in exchange for
T-1 service.

If you have any proof of impropriety on Doug's part, I suggest you send it
along. A pointer to a u-law encoded sound file containing Doug making the
statements you claim he did will be fine. If you don't have that kind of
proof, I think it would be a good idea for you to retract those statements.
If Doug were to sue you for libel, you would need to come up with a rebuttal
to his contention that you are publicly lying about him with intent to harm
him. He doesn't have to prove a motive, but you have to prove that what you
said was correct to the best of your knowledge at the time.

Let's raise this debate above the level of mud-slinging, shall we? The
salaries of major execs at ANS was a step in the right direction, though I
honestly don't believe they are out of line with industry norms.

Oh, by the way, I don't think

I know that you have not been following this forum, so you do
not know that I have already rebutted this charge once. If I
have to keep doing it I may have to take action on it.

constitutes a threat; just a statement of fact. I'm sure that Doug is
getting kind of tired of typing this in. Unfortunately, rumors die hard...
