I believe it's as Richard describes. The choices of venue are intended
to raise the whole spectrum of issues...I suggested Detroit, with Ann
Arbor an hour away, all of less-connected Outstate just a few hours
further, and a sizable foreign metropolitan area right across the river.
That ought to stretch the variables around.
